So far we've come
together twice, this was wednesday and today. Yesterday after class we came
together and we just began brainstorming, we found out that everyone in the
group had loads of ideas for the fashion show and had a good idea of which
direction we wanted to go in which made it a lot more exciting to get
started.
The ideas we have
so far is going into the theme of the Paddington bear as this is something
typically english and so is Burberry.
The interior would be
designed as it would be in Paddington station, putting the Paddington logo in
the beginning of the catwalk where the models come out to start their 'walk'.
(This is again something typically London-ish). Our fashion show would be
in February 2015 for fall/winter and as the weather is mostly rain and snow we
had the idea of putting water sprinklers right above the Burberry
building to make it look like it's pouring while the show is going on. The
catwalk itself would work with touchscreen so that when the models walk over
it, it looks like their walking into puddles which would represent the modern
technology Burberry uses. We would keep it very abstract and elegant, and
not over decorate it as Burberry's past fashion shows were always very simple.
Going further in the theme of Paddington the clothing collection would mainly
be in the colors red, blue and yellow. It will show a new collection of
wellington boots and trench coats. The models will be all british, just
like Burberry does every fashion show. The invitation will be a train
ticket and the goodie bag will have the schedule of the show in a form of a
passport and a Paddington 'Burberry' bear in a small suitcase. We'll also add a
lipstick of the Burberry collection to promote it.
This is our initial
idea and as the days go further this may change.
Today we started
out all together with having a look at the Burberry report of last year's term.
As we could use some things for this term's report. It made it a lot less
stressful knowing where to start and having an idea about the company. After
that, we began with organizing everything and dividing the work among
everyone and immediately started working.
Sarah and Alysia
started on the report while Charnah created a pinterest page and Zoe a blog.
After creating the
pinterest blog, Charnah started making the credentials.
Roshana was ill
today, but we kept her updated on everything that was happening.
Overall we're very happy about what
we've achieved so far, although we're quite confused about the task. We
didn't get too much information, which makes it a bit harder for us.
